Visual Flair, Power Upgrades, and Diesel Amp Up the 2018 Ford F-150

The current generation of the Ford F-150 doesn’t just offer grunt—it offers class-exclusive features for owning work, and comfort. On upper trims like the Platinum and Limited reaching luxury-car levels of opulence, there’s something for everyone. Now, the 2018 truck is on our proverbial doorstep with even more to set it apart.

The XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited will get a different grille each for the upcoming model year, along with a redesigned tailgate, and front and rear lighting. Auto start stop technology and a new ten-speed automatic gear box will become standard on every model save for the base, and every engine gets upgraded power and efficiency. Highlights of these include the updated 5.0-liter V8 with 395 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque with best-in-class payload, and the twin-turbo V6 with 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque with best-in-class torque and towing.

Better still, a turbodiesel V6 designed for heavy-duty hauling is set to arrive in spring 2018! But the rest of the range arrives this autumn, so if that coincides with your need for a pickup, let us know your interest by contacting our Ford dealership in Bay City, MI.
